St Peters'
was hit by incendiary bombs during the blitz and was left a
shell.
The organ was completely destroyed.
A new 3 manual Compton organ was commissioned during the
Post-War rebuilding.
The work of the restored organ was carried out by Michael
Farley of Budleigh Salterton and his team. The pipe work is
housed in a chamber 'suspended' above the new mezzanine
floor.
