The church was built during 1370, during the episcopacy of Thomas de Brantyngam.
The tower and porch were added at a later date., possibly around 1390 - 1414.
The tower is 120 feet tall, and contains 6 bells.
The church is built of Red Sandstone with White Limestone dressings.
